Yoga in Mayow Park

Yoga keeps your body fit and healthy, calms your mind and reduces anxiety.

Come along to our informal Park Yoga group in Mayow Park, Sydenham SE26. During these times of uncertainty it is important to move, to ground yourself in your body, and to spend time outside in nature. In the park we can space out at a safe distance whilst still retaining a sense of community.

WEDNESDAY 11.00-12.00

SUNDAY 11.30-12.30

Please bring your own mat.

Price is £10 per class, to be booked in advance.

Where do we meet?

Near the outdoor gym & children’s playground by the Recreation Road entrance to Mayow Park, SE26.

What happens if it rains?

Sometimes the weather isn’t always our friend for yoga outside, in which case class will be cancelled & I might live stream a class you can do at home instead.

What are the benefits of Yoga in the Park?

Practicing yoga outside can be incredibly powerful. Being surrounded by nature is a reminder that we are part of this natural world and not separate. It can help us to connect with ourselves, our environments and our dog friends that will be sure to pop up and say hello! Practicing yoga on uneven ground is good for strengthening feet and ankles and improving balance, and if the sun shines we get the added bonus of some Vitamin D!
