Rest and Restore

Come along to this nourishing afternoon of restorative yoga, reiki & sound healing. You will leave feeling grounded in your body, soothed in your nervous system, clearer in your mind, and restored in your energy as we begin the transition towards Spring.

If you often feel busy, stressed, anxious, exhausted, or are rushing around and taking care of others with no time for yourself, this event is going to be like medicine for your soul.

Charlotte and Uschi together create a nurturing space where you can melt into deep rest. Charlotte will guide you through an intention planting ritual and a gentle restorative yoga practice as Uschi provides a soothing soundscape with her chakra tuned singing bowls.

Once your body and mind have unwound, you will nestle in with cushions & blankets for a reiki infused gong bath. Let the sound vibrations clear and cleanse you, as the reiki energy restores you.

Combining yoga, sound, and reiki in this way creates the ultimate healing experience. In just two hours you will feel relaxed, restored and recentred, ready to nurture the seeds of your intentions so they can blossom in your life.

This afternoon is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Your guides for this session are Charlotte Taylor, yoga instructor and Reiki Master; and Uschi Classen, sound healer and music producer.

Transitioning from the slow stability of the earth, through the free flowing nature of water as you access your body’s own fluidity, to the dancing roaring energy of fire where you can burn through what no longer serves you, into the freedom and expansiveness of air, back down to rest and restore your energy upon the earth.

Meanwhile Uschi will be creating the shimmering soundscape using a combination of singing bowls, drums, gongs, and a carefully crafted playlist to match the energies of each element and emotion. Yoga in Mayow Park

Yoga keeps your body fit and healthy, calms your mind and reduces anxiety.

Come along to our informal Park Yoga group in Mayow Park, Sydenham SE26. To help relieve the aches and anxieties that can build up in everyday life, it is important to move, to ground yourself in your body, and to spend time outside in nature. In the park we can come together and embrace our connection to the natural world.

CURRENT PARK CLASS SCHEDULE:

SUNDAY 11.30-12.30

Sometimes additional classes are added or times are changed due to weather. Message me to join the Whatsapp group to receive live updates for the week ahead.

Please bring your own mat.

Price is £10 per class or £90 for 10. Class to be booked in advance via text or WhatsApp.

Where do we meet?

On the grass in between the cricket net and the tennis courts. Near the Recreation Road entrance to Mayow Park, SE26.

What happens if it rains?

Sometimes the weather isn’t always our friend for yoga outside! if it’s light rain the trees provide excellent shelter but if it looks like heavy rain on the morning then class will be cancelled or rescheduled.

Message me on 07870815969 to join our Park Yoga Whatsapp group and receive live updates.

What are the benefits of Yoga in the Park?

Practicing yoga outside can be incredibly powerful. Being surrounded by nature is a reminder that we are part of this natural world and not separate. It can help us to connect with ourselves, our environments and our dog friends that will be sure to pop up and say hello! Practicing yoga on uneven ground is good for strengthening feet and ankles and improving balance, and if the sun shines we get the added bonus of some Vitamin D!

Two Hour Yin Yoga Practice

Two Hour Yin Yoga Practice

Yin Yoga is yoga’s equivalent of getting stoned! Join me for two hours of this magic and gift yourself some dedicated time and space to unwind.

Yin yoga is sloooowwww. We let go of the need to rush. We arrange our bodies in shapes, then embrace a softness & tenderness within them. For me it’s a true sense of coming home, to myself. Everything is close to the earth so that we plug in and ground. When the body finds stillness, the breath slows, the nervous system switches from high alert & stress mode into rest & digest. This tells our bodies we are safe. Our minds ease. Tension melts. Emotions may be stirred.

I am so looking forward to sharing this practice with you in real life and over Zoom. This event will be live-streamed from The Yoga Edge studio in Crystal Palace so you can come and join me in real life (only 11 spaces) or enjoy the deeply relaxing practice from home.

This event is suitable for all levels, including beginners. If practicing from home you will need a few pillows or cushions and a blanket.

Price: £25

We have a small number of discounted places for those with limited resources, please contact us.

FREE EVENT: Virtual Vibrant Vibrations Yin Yoga and Sound Healing

Our eleventh Vibrant Vibrations session will be brought to you via Zoom. Join us for a free evening of yin yoga, crystal sound bowls, and reiki energy healing. Carefully crafted to replenish your body, mind and energy, expect to roll off your mat feeling grounded and deeply relaxed.

I will guide you through a 75 minute yin yoga class to unwind your body, calm your mind, and soothe your nervous system. If you have not tried yin yoga before it involves softening into shapes on the floor for around 5 minutes, using cushions and blankets for support.

Uschi will be playing her crystal singing bowls throughout to offer sound healing vibrations, and as you settle into stillness for the last 15 minutes there will be a sound bath infused with reiki.

This event is free, we simply ask you to make a donation to Sistah Space, a charity supporting women and girls of African and Caribbean heritage who are affected by domestic or sexual abuse in London. Suggested donation is £30 but please contribute more or less depending on your circumstances and what you can afford. Donate via this link https://gf.me/u/x8tpdx and boost your gift with Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer.

Thanks so much for your support..

This event is suitable for beginners, no previous yoga experience necessary.

You will need cushions or pillows, and a blanket.

I just wanted to thank you for this evening. It was wonderful. I haven’t felt this relaxed for a long time.

This was so wonderful. Never done anything quite like it. Was so relaxed by the end both the yoga and the sound bath of the beautiful crystal bowls was brilliant. Would definitely do this again. Lovely. Lovely. Lovely.

Amazing work shop! I loved both parts and will be back the next time it’s on.

Yoga in Mayow Park

Yoga keeps your body fit and healthy, calms your mind and reduces anxiety.

Come along to our informal Park Yoga group in Mayow Park, Sydenham SE26. During these times of uncertainty it is important to move, to ground yourself in your body, and to spend time outside in nature. In the park we can space out at a safe distance whilst still retaining a sense of community.

CURRENT AUTUMN PARK CLASS SCHEDULE:

WEDNESDAY 11.00-12.00

SUNDAY 11.30-12.30

Sometimes additional classes are added or times are changed due to weather. Join the Whatsapp group to receive live updates for the week ahead.

Please bring your own mat.

Price is £10 per class, to be booked in advance.

Where do we meet?

Near the outdoor gym & children’s playground by the Recreation Road entrance to Mayow Park, SE26.

What happens if it rains?

Sometimes the weather isn’t always our friend for yoga outside, in which case class will be cancelled & I might live stream a class you can do at home instead.
